Laugh With the Sinners

Give me days under the Tuscan sun

Dirty my hands, darken my skin

I’ll work twelve hours a day to be back again

Give me a team filled with sinners, unrighteous but kind

More worried about living life than chasing the divine

Give me adventures and mishaps with people who care

Take these days filled with worry, fear, and despair

This place has been cold, choked by sterile morality and pride

But under the Tuscan sun there’s nothing to hide

Exploring strange cities and sleeping in ruins

More trustworthy and loving than those of God’s Kingdom

Sun drenched laughter, covered with grime

Far better than distant holiness at any given time

At the end of the day it was hard work, love and fun

What I wouldn’t give to be back under the Tuscan sun
